Its come to my attention that a few builds I've had come into my shop are showing the wrong ARP main studs being used. I am not sure on where these incorrect studs are being purchased from but I've showed the comparison between the two variants that show what the correct stud is vs the incorrect one. (correct on left the incorrect is on the right) This is VERY important because the thinner profiled stud will not yield a proper clamp load to the main girdle. This is vital in ensuring the crankshaft is fastened into place properly. For those of you that are going forward with a new build I urge you to investigate this for your own safety in ensuring your block is assembled correctly. I have the dimensions written down in my book showing the differences and I"ll try to get those numbers posted up soon.
